Guess what every single modern nation has admitted socialism has merit and has enacted socialist policy because they all realized free market capitalism was utter fuckery 100+ years ago. Yeah, even the USA. It's called welfare, social security, etc. The question is just what mix of capitalism/socialism is best. imo capitalism is fine for most things but important industries (energy, telecomms, medicine) that are vital to the public interest should be publicly owned/controlled so you don't have retards saying poo poo like 'we're in the business of making money, not helping sick people.' Saying "ah, but the USSR!" is not any kind of slam dunk argument unless you are 15.

McDonalds is just slightly above ramen noodles or eating out of a dumpster, and even then, it depends on the dumpster. Jacking up prices and hipsterizing the menu have only made things worse. At least before it was cheap. Now it doesn't even have that going for it.
