They also wanted to move away from having like half the show done by the secondary crew because frankly they just never were as good.

I enjoyed the show during its earlier seasons but they started to run out of proper myths and began to do really weird and obtuse poo poo. Maybe I was just fooled by its "newness" and there never really was any good science behind it all but it at least felt like it in the beginning. A recent episode I saw they did one where they "tested" if running in a zig zag pattern can help you get away from crocodiles wtf? Another was testing if a scene in a tv show where a woman had to hold a spring activated lever on a grenade or she would blow up was possible or not. Like seriously stretching for ideas.

the last episode i watched, they were testing if Homer Simpson could really stop a wrecking ball from destroying a house if he was hanging on the side of it, so yea, they've been really reaching for ideas.

Today on Mythbusters... Jamie stares at Adam with barely concealed contempt and tries to hurt him intentionally, which Adam brushes off by making funny faces at the camera. Meanwhile, Kari, Tory, and Grant hoot like degenerate loving apes after blowing up a block of C4 at the bomb range for like the 60th time.

Last couple of myths I saw: Would the stormtroopers from star wars really miss as much as they do in the movies? Can video game shoot mans really carry all those weapons? Does the higher ground make a difference in a sword fight between two people with zero fencing experience? Is it as easy to slice flying fruit as fruit ninjas would have you believe? Adam is the kind of guy that's happy to do anything weird/interesting. Jamie is autistic and would rather have spent the last 10 years painstakingly making robot vending machines that fire coke cans at people so they can be seen for 4 seconds in a commercial. The B-Team were never really as interesting outside of Kari who was there as spank bait for nerds. Mythbusters ran out of poo poo to do to the point they literally did advertisement episodes; like dedicating an entire episode to the Green Hornet movie stuff. Like yes, that one. That you just remembered existed. That was like 3-4 years ago I think?? Also the B-team did advertisements for a VW Diesel car, "busting myths" about their smell/fuel economy/etc. They never tested the myth that they could pass california smog tests without cheating

i saw the breaking bad episode and they tested a baggie of loose fulminated mercury to compare against walts 1 giant crystal of fulminated mercury as if it would produce the same result look theyre really good at making giant water slides and know how to make ballistics gelatin but other than that...
