Evangelion is weird for me, because I've seen like half of the series, and know the overarching plot and a lot of the little details, but I'm missing out on quite a bit of the big picture. Other than superficial stuff like robots vs a mysterious force and being ambiguous about what's actually going on I don't think Evangelion and Rahxephon are actually that similar.
