so does rey though so i dunno how that changes anything... like she would of been 100% dead on the snow planet without finn. poe is the real superstar. dude has witty quips, is an amazing pilot, magically survives death and blows up deathstar 3 but no one seems to mind him.

yeah all 3 mains were boring and sucked. rey just gets most of the criticism imo because luke getting his poo poo together forcewise was basically the main story of the trilogy and she gets there in 5 minutes

Did people freak out in the Harry Potter thread when a young, pre-Hogwarts Potter inexplicably talked to a snake & also teleported his fatass cousin on top of a building? You know, the scenes that showed he had great latent ability but little or no understanding of his power, and that he needed formal training to control his abilities and realize his full potential?

The good thing about all this is that I didn't care for Rey's performance. That being said it has nothing to do with the fact she's female or anything else so get hosed nerds.

i think that people are really overestimating how hard it is to mind trick someone its a lovely parlor trick that usually fails. it failed on loving watto and she was barely able to do it on a guy who had been conditioned from birth to follow orders
