I should be able to find an hour or so a night to make some graphics if anyone is short a graphics dude (and isn't too demanding with quantity). I'm pretty adaptable though and can probably do something respectable for this here jam.

You could make it a game where everything HeroBox^TM touches turns to that ANIME texture a la De Blob. Go around painting the town ANIME, with that cold smile, all the townspeople wondering why and having no power over your actions, questioning the point of it all.

Making at least a little progress but I spent far too long re-learning some basic parts of Blender and figuring out how to get transparent walls to render right in Unity.

Now to get some NPCs moving around so I can start progressing on the actual game part... good thing I've hosed my sleep schedule enough that 2am still seems like a reasonable hour to get things done?

The physics in Stencyl are... a little odd.

Not sure why my sailor suddenly levitates when the boat rocks but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Working on this animation was a learning experience. It broke in a lot of ways as I tried to get things to move and rotate in a way that made a remote amount of sense.

Atoramos: Aug 31, 2003; Jim's now a Blind Cave Salamander!

We're giving things a go, for now a lot of Blender work. We wanted to do the Unity 3D thing we usually do, but let the players interact with objects in a room. Messed around with this Javascript implimentation, ported it to C# and managed to make a tower of cups to knock over. Also have some neat shader-switching stuff going on to highlight objects you can use.

Give your little dudes hats, and you've basically got what I did in Jones On Fire. Making the little hands swish as you run around will give your run cycle a remarkable amount of personality. Also, really ham it up with the squash and stretch when you're backflipping and such - you can go waaay further than you've got it right now, if you're so inclined.

... and volcano dude isn't horrible, he actually looks pretty cool!
