Nah that was my old boss, #3 in the pecking order. This is the #1 guy who did Inception, Godzilla and Mad Max. That should tell you how important the DC properties are to WB right now. (also I don't work at WB anymore)

This seems more surprising about the importance they placed on Mad Max than the DC movies. Produced a great trailer, though.

If Warner manages to get another best picture out of it that would be pretty freaking amazing. I'd be surprised if the AA would give best picture to something like Mad Max though. I think if you judge it as a picture from top to bottom it deserves it but I think acting and story weigh heavier to the voters than spectacle. I'm wondering if anybody actually enjoyed the Revenant or Spotlight more than Mad Max.

It's interesting to think that the guy responsible for the drum hits and cuts for Bohemian Rhapsody in time to the bullet casings falling on the ground is also responsible for this He has some great sound design in his trailers.
