I remember one time my dad played nba jam on SNES with me. naturally i played as bill clinton and was owning but my dad sucked; total newb. We never played videogames together again and im glad for it because it means my dad isnt a huge loser like me

Meh, they've mined out the humor, they've grown older and have kids now, and keep doing this to support them. Can't hate them for that. I'd do it in their position. I used to read internet comics all the time when I had low bandwidth. Now I just read shitposts and watch youtube videos of people saying poo poo post like content. Why hasn't anyone ever made a webcomic that is just, poo poo posts on the internet that they draw random people and speech bubbles and some stuff that is vaguely topical to the conversation?

At least it was an ok joke at the time, topical humor doesn't hold up all that well after a century. The average gamer today wouldn't have any clue who American McGee is without looking it up. The art isn't holding up at all, but I dont think it was ever good to begin with. That's still much better than 99% of the thousands of webcomics out there, that are just archives and archives of pure poo poo like xdcx or whatever.

I imagine their wives, children, and friends are equally shown falsely. tbf they were originally just characters and gradually became self-inserts. but now they have also inserted their families which makes that really weird. someone here mentioned that one of their wives is apparently obese, but that he depicts her as the opposite in the comic, and if that's true I feel bad for the wife. if I was her I'd be really creeped out and offended by that. but then again if I was her or any obese person I would just stop over-eating and thereby reduce myself to a health weight.

I also feel like drawing your wife as morbidly obese probably would be a very fine line considering how it may come off on screen and probably best left off to not drawing her at all on the internet.
