It's really easy to point out how dumb and bad Trump is for his David Duke comments. The real issue, I think, is he said it in order to appeal to a segment of the base and why we now have Serious pundits defending him. People are still treating him like he's this crazy outlier that is so out of touch with America while he's somehow currently the leading candidate for one of the two political parties and is being defended by more and more of the people that are supposed to be Reasonable and Sensible.

My brother and a friend of his had some running comedy sketch where they played hillbillies who were always hunting "coons." One of them was named Cletus, in honor of the Simpsons. It's worst than that. You have libertarian wunderkind Tucker Carlson calling Mitt Romney a RINO for saying that Trumps KKK comments are disgusting. The pundit class has crossed the line from simply ignoring white supremacy to actively supporting it. At this rate we are going to have white supremacy be the new truth in the middle issue where one side thinks it's bad and the other says it's good so I guess we have to respect both sides.

I really enjoy this one, there was no label on the elephant of "GOP" and no label on the Trumps as "Donald Trump" and it's a perfect metaphor. Also the worried look on the elephant's face is hilariously done.

Sorry, we're already bombing them, what more do you want? Rounding them up and sending them to death camps? Dumbass, internal investigation is how you sweep problems under the rug, pretending they never existed in the first place; external investigation is how you can actually do something.

What is USA, anyway? Is USA the "gently caress you, got mine" represented by Donald Trump? or USA is a country that is bouncing on the wall of lobbies, trying to implement universal health-care, represented by Obama and Sanders? Or is USA the Oligarchy of "Tout pour le peuple et par le peuple" represented by Hillary Clinton?. Or is something else, but nobody has figured out yet?. I honestly don't know what is USA, what USA want to be, and what realistically can be done. Tei fucked around with this message at 17:56 on Mar 1, 2016 |
