Decrim stops us throwing users in prison but it still restricts their avenues for purchase or manufacture to criminal enterprise. Legalization allows the government to mandate quality controls, ban advertising, keep sale away from schools and in licensed premises, and I can't see it causing any more use than decriminalization, which has so far not turned the whole of Portugal into a gigantic crack den.

To be fair those are the main ones and she's not even really that bad on the stabbing Corbyn front she's not one actively plotting against him she just doesn't seem to feel the need to keep criticisms to herself because she is well pretty outspoken, I guess that's why she rubs people up the wrong way, when she compared the Cologne sex attacks to Broad Street in Birmingham she was in a way correct but not putting it in a way that went across well. Her complaints aren't as much people being on twitter as they are rape threats too. Thinking about it I was being slightly unfair not pointing that she is one of the better ones amongst Labour but not near the best. There was a great story about her Dianne Abbott arguing over whether Corbyn's cabinet has enough women and Jess Phillips told her to gently caress off, when asked how Abbott responded Phillips said 'well she hosed off'.

She's big on domestic abuse, women's rights etc as she used to work at a few women's charities, she does often come across as very aggressive and for want of a better word mouthy, these aren't necessarily bad qualities if used properly I mean Tom Watson has been aggressive and mouthy to great effect but its about knowing when not to run around shouting at people. How long until she says something really aggressive at someone and the Guardian does a piece about how all her critics are just intimidated by strong women?

Edit: She is a million times better than her predecessor Hemming who is a massive oval office.

She came across as pretty tough with the whole rape threats thing. Her views on sex work are surprising as well considering how much work she has done with sex workers, she set up Birmingham's first centre for trafficked women as far as I know. It may be the case that because she's seen the worst case treatment of sex workers she wants to just try and get rid of it and is being very misguided about how to go about it.

I don't think he's thought that far ahead really. It's probably just the standard right-libertarian rhetoric. Get the government out of everything, the drug war is a huge waste of taxpayers' money, the individual is the sole rational arbiter of their actions, A=A, if they're poor and choose to get addicted to heroin then that's their fault for being so poor and stupid.

It's one of those cases where they have correctly identified that the government has done something useless and counterproductive, but fail at the wider social angle and go for a 'do nothing' approach.

My daughter got picked up for aspergers really young, like 5 or 6 or something and got the best special help the system and her parents could provide and is now a very functional 14 year old. Its that personal experience that informed me that its a real thing not to be mocked. Where does she plan to go that's more than 93% white? I can't imagine Finland if she thinks that Germany is too socialist. Maybe the Baltics but does she class them as white?

I don't get the overlap between pure unadulterated capitalism/individualism, which while a lovely philosophy should at least treat everyone on their 'merits' or usefulness to capital (Ayn Rand decried racism as the "lowest, most crudely primitive form of collectivism") and being a racist poo poo. Other than the obvious answer that perhaps lovely philosophies attract lovely people.

Yeah. For the record, I use the past tense not because something horrible happened to that relative, but because he got treatment and support and is now in a significantly better place, mentally speaking, but a significant part of that was thanks to the folks supporting him doing some serious work to destigmatise the spectrum. Like, having Asperger's will mean that you inherently have more difficulty with certain things, like reading social cues and organising yourself (the technical term is 'impaired executive functioning'), but it's a pretty integral part of you and how your brain's set up, and framing it purely as a negative you'll have to deal with for the rest of your life is a pretty brutal burden for someone on the spectrum to bear, and it's nice to play up the positives and the different-but-not-bad stuff as well.
