oh yay my kindle wasn't totally dead, just mostly dead I thought maybe the battery was too far gone to recharge but it finally did, plus got the update I got a very ominous email about the other day, that if it didn't get updated it wouldn't be able to download books anymore.

It's supposed to be 6 hours but they generally let you out 1 hour earlier. And you spend like 1 or 2 hours sitting in the basement of the community center.

I think that's a result of the transition from the previous manga format to the current webtoon format, which is made to be read on smart devices and computers. The Breaker New Waves was like, the last webtoon to stick to the traditional format and that's cause S1 was serialized in a magazine. S3 will be in the new webtoon format. Even old names like Park Seong-u, who wrote a ton of paperback manhwa, is doing Gunner in webtoon format.

Ruler of the Land is the only major Korean paperback manhwa that I'm aware of these days. Everything else is webtoons.

Though the webtoon format itself isn't a bad thing in my opinion. Long before they became as popular as they were today Kang Full was making webtoon masterpieces like Romance Manhwa and that translated well into paperback format.
