Ask me about Derek Carr's stolen MVP awards, those dastardly refs, and, oh yeah, having the absolute worst fucking gimmick in The Football Funhouse.
It's been forever since we voted out a Steeler.

Thats a nice Game 7 you have there. Would be a shame if somebody nailed it down.

Anyone from that generation was a terrible athlete in comparison to today. I mean yeah, Warren Moon was probably a better athlete than Dan Marino or Peyton loving Manning, but still.

Steve Young and John Elway were pretty solid athletes but in general I agree. I'd imagine part of it is more colleges going with spread offenses where the QB runs more--so the guys who used to go to triple option schools get to go to schools where they develop at least some skill throwing the ball. That along with taking training year round seriously, guys used to use camp to get in shape.

Moon would still throw some of the most perfect throws you'd see in the NFL today. Dude had special arm talent.

You can make the argument that Dickerson deserves to stay over OJ just from what was on the field. I think you'd probably be wrong, but it's not like there isn't a discussion to be had there.

So yeah, I'm down with OJ going out first considering everything else.

e: Hate to say it but I'd probably get rid of Marcus Allen before Dickerson too.

i'm obviously not voting to reflect it, but from worst to best i'd go oj <marcus < ap < dickerson. not sure why ap isn't even on the list. not that it matters because i'm sure we would've voted him off quick because gently caress him as a person.

Damn it, this always happens. I think I'm gonna score, and then I never score. It's not fair.

Wedge Regret
Forrest Gregg or John Hannah I think should be the next o-lineman to go, but tossing either O.J. or Marcus Allen to limit the RB's would be fine too. And really, Lee Roy Selmon should also go in the next two or three rounds...

Why limit the RBs when there are less of them than WR and OL? Gregg or Johnson, folks!

OJ is one of the only non-QB players to be as, or more, important than Jerry Rice when it comes to offensive production. He's the original "put the team on his back".

Has any other player generated more than 50% of his team's yards?

OJ managed a 2000 yard season in 1973, back when you could legally kill and eat a ballcarrier. Meanwhile, I doubt most people could even name the QB that handed off to him.

oj had 3 seasons where he averaged over 100 yards per game. jim brown had 2 seasons where he didn't.

Oh, I'm not saying Jim Brown wasn't the greatest RB ever, because, by basically every metric, he absolutely was.

Just that OJ is a close #2.

In my completely unbiased opinion it is a travesty that Jim Brown wasn't on this list. Since he is obviously the GOAT.
