Nothing to do with anything but I have a toy just like this for my cat, except the feathers are yellow and the fuzzy bit is red. For some reason he is loving terrified of it. You take it out of the closet I've hidden it in, and he just takes off and hides until you put it away. Here is yet another image of the goofy scaredy-cat in his natural habitat.

My boyfriend showed me a really cute video earlier this week of a Bernese mountain puppy freaking out over a lemon. I just tried to find it for this thread and found several videos of the same subject matter. They are all the best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFIpCSmLVhs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOwtXmlKkmk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRitF2Fq6g8

One of my favorite videos (which I can't find at the moment) is where people took some rescue greyhounds to the beach and let em off the leash, and it was like an old Speedy Gonzalez cartoon cause POOF they were outta there.

I had a cocker spaniel who loved drinking straight from the bathtub tap. If you didn't hear him barking for the water to be turned on, he would start knocking over the shampoo bottles and rattling the trash can to get noticed. As he got older, he still wanted to drink out of the tub, but he couldn't lift himself over the rim, so we would pick him up, set him down, let him drink and pull him out again. Eventually he got to frail to really lift, so we would pour the water into a bowl and put it down on the floor for him. Unless he saw it actually come out of the bathtub tap, he wouldn't touch it.

My mom used to have a car that let you turn the key enough that it'd engage the battery to run the radio or AC, then pull the key out to go do whatever. Turning over the engine required turning the key even further. This was forever ago, though, way the gently caress back when I was in elementary school.

I'm not sure many cars have AC compressors that AREN'T run off an engine accessory belt, which means the engine needs to be running to produce cold air.

FWIW, the Prius has an electric compressor and push button start. You can walk away from the car with the AC running and the engine off. The engine will start itself periodically to recharge the battery. Incidentally, the engine in a parked Prius seems to comes on more often in the winter to maintain the heat (greater temp differential and all).

Seems like allowing ac or music or whatever without the keys would make it really easy to leave it on overnight or something. At least I would do that. Luckily my car has a bunch of idiot proofing to keep me from doing anything without keys.
