He's been scratched all those games and isn't injured. Apparently he needs to work on skating and something else. The Yotes don't seem to be interested in sending him back to the OHL probably because he won't learn anymore there. Optimal situation would be the AHL which isn't an option but I still don't know why they would keep him off the ice completely.

Why the hell would anyone trade for Evander Kane period at this point?? Unless you've got cap space to burn and Buffalo lets him go for a song I can't imagine whoever trades for Kane isn't going to have immediate buyer's remorse. He's got almost no trade value right now

I'm at a concert tonight and I've seen that weird guy that owns The Continental and wears that rice paddy farmer's hat that the NY goons were railing on a few weeks ago, and a guy in a Rangers Callahan jersey. I check the scores between sets and the Wings were already down 2-0 less than halfway into the first. Just looking at the state of the Canucks right now... even if they get rid of Benning and swap him for the hypothetical best GM in the world, it will take years to untangle that mess. I mean Sbisa, Sutter, Gudbranson (you know Benning is gonna give him a MacDonald-esque contract even and especially if he gets poo poo-canned).. and the prospect pipeline is not particularly impressive, at least from an outsider's perspective. The absolute best case scenario is that they can unload some of this dead-weight and maybe flip the last year of the Sedins for anything at all to start the rebuild.
