This is why I never understand the argument that because Gretzky played in a high-scoring era, his records don't mean as much. Sure, he did, but if you look at him and the next few top scorers, he was outscoring the rest by a huge margin.

It's not something Tortorella has spoken of publicly, but it's the type of act he takes down as a mental note. I like it. Vicas posted:The double-hosed up thing is they're tied for the most points and least games played I can't comprehend the CBJ having games in hand over other teams because it never seems to happen. Pornographic Memory posted:I believe it was the wild who retired #1 for the fans The CBJ had a thing in their first few years which was a "Fans #1" jersey in and around the Arena which I don't even know if the fans knew about; I actually thought it was kind of dumb, but appreciated the thought. It wasn't a retired number, as a few guys wore #1 even before Mason. Hitchcock ordered all references to it removed when he was hired and it was never heard from again.

I am happy that Gudbranson got hurt. That is how much I dislike my own team. I am quite annoyed that the Oilers are good now, but there never was any justice in this universe anyway. gently caress you Mark Messier. You too Linden.

Pouliot's value has to be pretty low at this point. The Pens would probably be better off sending him down to the AHL and just hoping he can build himself back up. Maf I think could be moved if they wanted to. They probably wouldn't get much but I'm sure a team would want him.
