Really? Is this necessary? I love Mob too, but there doesn't need to be a pissing war between the two. Can't you just enjoy something awesome for what it is? I know you're giving it a compliment at the same time, but sheesh.

p.s. It was loving awesome. I'm curious if Suiryu is going to become the new Genos and want to learn from Saitama.

Genos being bad and losing even at being Genos is a logical train of thought for OPM so maybe

I won't say it won't be, but that would be a huge departure from the original source. I think it's more likely that he becomes a hero himself, starting at C-rank.

I'd be surprised if he only started on C unless he absolutely made a mess of the essay.

Which one are you asking about, Mob or OPM? I'm lost here.

I think ONE is the first person I've seen to properly depict what a No. 1 and a No. 2 should look like. This is his side manga and it's loving excellent. Usually if you see someone in media billed as 'the best at X' the second best guy can barely function in comparison. It's like, No. 1 is so skilled they can defuse two bombs at the same time and the other guy is constantly leaving his fork in the microwave.

For Mob, the manga is the ONE art version.

Unlike One Punch Man, it started out as a job with a paycheck and all. Art gets better as it goes, even if it's still notably... ONE.

More to challenge and redeem himself, earn his ranks like the hero he will come to admire, in his own way.

SyntheticPolygon

Though Suiryu's super strong and all, he's noticeably less of a hero than much weaker people like Sneck or Max. He'd do well to go through earlier ranks and gain some heroic spirit before he gets to the big leagues.

A true hero who is learning humility would ignore where the test places him and choose to start from the bottom anyway.

"Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah."

Translation: He has to go through C-class to see Licenseless Rider in action and learn what being a hero means.

It'd be absurd if Suiryu didn't grow from this and become heroic. I don't know how you could read that last chapter and think him not becoming more heroic was a possibility.

Yeah agreed. He may not end up becoming a hero but I think he will absolutely wind up with hope and faith in heroes and less concerned about an easy life that sometimes hurts others.

Right. Like, the reason he's gotten to where he is is because he stuck to his guns and didn't let himself become a monster. He's been saved by, what, 4 heroes now? There's no way he becomes jaded and quits. Even if he doesn't necessarily become a hero, he at least won't be as pompous and lovely as before.
