Dorn has only ever been maybe dead. In the original fluff all they found was his hand and it was deliberately left mysterious like with most of the Primarchs save Robert who was in a tube on blue man homeworld, Curze who lost his head over a woman in tight leather, and Horus who was told how disappointed daddy was. Oh and Sanguinius who tripped over and has been the subject of a coverup to avoid a galaxy shaking workplace health and safety scandal.

You may have won in "objectives", "points" and "kills", but that does not mean you won in the traditional manner of the Iron warriors (volume of krak and bolter fire).    Also note that Killer Bees does not disclose that he had to PHOSPHEX a poor villager's crops in order to gain a slight advantage over our superior warriors.
