I'm finding Yagami really refreshing compared to Kiryu. It's nice to have a main character that actually chats to people around town, and when a waiter goes on about coffee his reply is a supportive 'woah, awesome, I learned a lot, that's cool' rather than 'hmm'.

I'm only to chapter 2, but he comes across as much more of a normal guy compared to Kiryu's uptight and often stubborn and baffling sense of Confucian moral order. And he's also kind of a smart-rear end which is cool

Has anyone found any more posters with the QR codes on them? The one I found was in the alley between your office and Ebisu Pawn. It taught me a move called Light Bullet that seems to be a VR only action.

Looks like trophies and DLC have gone live now Kind of gross if this is a repeatable purchase, don't really want to see this kind of thing invading the franchise if this is a toe in the water for future plans

The gently caress is a play pass. I noticed the dlc menu on the phone but when i clicked it, it errored out and on the main ps4 menu it claims the only dlc is the kiryu skin for fotn for some reason. Did also wonder why trophies were not showing when i checked. I am still on chapter 1 despite having the game since saturday lmao

You can get them as drops from enemies sometimes or rewards from the batting centre, buy them at the casinos for a ton of chips or eventually grind out 6 other expensive passes to get unlimited play passes. It looks like it's going to be the go-to method for grinding money to grind out SP from food and such if you're going for trophies/completion and so while there's a way to get it unlimited in game through grinding it's not very cool that they're dangling that carrot in front of people.

God drat it. I was so stoked to play pinball only to find out it's complete rear end. The table's spacing is awful, the flippers don't have any weight to them, and worst of all they're so slow to actually pull. Pinball tables should be snappy. e: Oh I figured out half my problem. The tip of the flipper makes the ball go slower, because that's physics. e2: I just played a game where every ball I shot went straight in the middle of the flippers, bounced off the nipple, and soared over to a side gutter. Also, I really love the friendship system. It gives the city a ton of depth and the fact that you can sometimes see your friends in the street really drives it home. There's a good interview with the Yakuza/Judgment head localizer where he talks about how it was pretty hard to find Yagami's voice at first, to the point they thought that he might be kind of boring. What they settled on is that he is a good person who carries a lot of guilt, but still has this underlying sarcasm. There's a good scene really early on where he runs out to see the lady prosecutor who it's clear he's had a romantic history to walk her home, but backs down when he sees she's with another guy, and he instantly goes "Oh, you're fine. See ya then" and turns to leave until another prosecutor starts talking digging at him and then he turns right back and is ready to get a little mean with this guy. He just feels like a more realistic dude so far which I like a lot
