Ah yes, Biggio, Gruber and ... Jeff Frye! I actually loved Frye as a kid, probably because he hit the only cycle I ever saw live.

Did Bichette or Vlad Sr do it? Its not crazy to think that in 10 years its possible the Jays will have 3 father and son combos to have hit the cycle.

Both of those cool dads did. But lol if you think Vlad is ever hitting a triple again.

Who knows. 5 or 10 years from now he might go on the Bautista diet and be lean and mean.

And even the biggest fatsos in the league get a couple triples every few years. One can dream.

Pretty loud, both on the initial HPB and when the umps confirmed the call that it didn't hit the bat (which is something that seems to come up a lot for the Twins this year.)

Also if anyone pays for the BBRef fancy poo poo they could look up how common it is, but just a casual google makes it appear pretty dang uncommon. Mariano Rivera apparently did it once and it was the first time in several years.

That might just be because of the beard? He really never got any bigger his entire time in Toronto. Maybe he put on 10 lbs from his time in Pittsburgh to the end of his career? He made it a point not to bulk up at all since he swore that his power came from flexibility.

Oh, it would feel very strongly if the natural thing happened when your entire team spent the season on the DL. Instead it just all became completely surreal sometime around backup catchers setting HR records in Baltimore and Mike Tauchman playing like Mike Trout.

Why are there even IL games in September? Next year the Astros close the season against the Braves. All September games should be divisional.

And for an even hotter take: the only time the NL and AL should play each other is the AS game and the WS
