On a seemingly routine morning at Hogwarts, the students gathered in the great hall for breakfast before their classes. Students were eagerly discussing the upcoming quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff was the surprise dominating force this year with two blowout victories over Ravenclaw and Slytherin through good teamwork and communication. However there were no real stars on their team, and the students doubted that the star players like Harry Potter of Gryffindor could lose to such an anonymous team. And speaking of Harry Potter, where was he? No one had seen him since two days ago in potions class. Professor Snape had made him stay after class for some reason, and no one knew anything beyond that. This caused a sense of unease across the school. He was always finding Death Eaters around the school and fighting them off. With his almost two day absence, what was he up to? Are there Death Eaters at Hogwarts? Was Harry still alive? Would he make it back for the Quidditch match? All of these questions consumed the students’ attention that they almost missed the screeching yells from outside. The students rushed outside to see Filtch, the custodian of Hogwarts, yelling to a small gathering group of students and teachers. They had formed a semi-circle around Professor Sprout who was lying on the ground. “She’s not moving. I need help. HELP!” Yelled Filtch. There was hesitation from the group, as they stood still, petrified with shock. How could this happen? There hadn’t been a death in Hogwarts since last year. Dumbledore made his way through the crowd. He bent down and examined Professor Sprout. “The killing curse” He said quietly to himself. Dumbledore looked to the other teachers and said. “Bring all of the students back to the Great Hall and confine them there. I will be with you shortly.” The other teacher nodded and quickly ushered the students back to the great hall. Now the great hall was filled with hushed voices and worried groans. They had been there for what seemed like hours when Dumbledore finally returned. The noises from the students and teachers stopped as everyone looked to Dumbledore for any kind of news. “As you are well aware, Professor Sprout has been killed. It appears that a group of Death Eaters has entered the castle. Professor Sprout found them plotting earlier this morning and was not able to stop. Unfortunately, Professor Sprout was not able to leave behind any clues to who these Deatheaters could be.” Dumbledore paused, and looked around the room. The students seemed shocked. “It does not get brighter. They have brought a group of Dementors that now surround the castle. I have made a barrier around the castle that will prevent them from entering for now. If we do not find and eliminate all of the Death Eaters that are here quickly, I fear that they will be able to pass through the barrier soon.” “Also be wary of any one trying to use this as a distraction. We must work together and communicate. It is our best chance Token Female, Professor Sprout, Town Teacher (Hogwarts aligned), was killed Night 0.  DAY 1 BEGINS
