It's white fear dude. The only time these people see black people from an early age on is from Tv and movies. In wgicb guess what blacks are shown to be criminals more so than whites. However if it's an evil genius it's GOT TO BE A WHITE OR ASIAN. Low level criminals? Mexicans native Americans and blacks. gently caress these nazis. Institutional racism creates this mental disorder.
You may be reading it backwards, the posted in question is saying that the police are protecting black people from white people, in the sense that he would go out and start murdering black people indiscriminately if not for the police.
"The police are the only thing protecting us from them" is the normal formulation of the fortress mentality, but what the poster is expressing is a little bit more extreme.

Have their been any false flag operations ever carried out that freep would actually oppose?
I think false flags and the main things that come to mind are like... The USS Maine. Tonkin Gulf. The Reichstag fire. You know, that led to things freep would enthusiastically support.

"the enemy is at the same time too strong and too weak" etc etc
they justify police brutality by claiming victims are all "urban ferals" who must be kept down by indiscriminate murder by cops and/or the US military before they overrun and destroy white civilization, buuuuuuuut according to their fascist ideology the logical implication of this is that the white man must be the inferior race if they can't win against the Other in glorious single combat, soooo actually the cops are benevolently protecting those "urban ferals" from being righteously smited by our rascal-bound white boomer masterrace supermen

The two are not strictly incoherent if you believe there is an immutable gap between the right sort of people and the wrong sort of people and the only acceptable debate is whether we, the right sort of people, should allow the wrong sort of people to exist or not. Thus you get both the idea that the wrong sort need to be kept in line, but equally it's only them being kept in line that spares them from extermination, the idea that the wrong sort of people could live free of control is not even on the table and the idea that they could is delusional and funny to me, the right sort of person.
There of course you get the progression from regular dumbass white panic to full on nazism. But not necessarily by the shifting of the rhetorical focus approach. Some people are just really consistently racist.

Walmart will stop putting ‘multicultural’ products in locked cases
OP posted:Walmart will no longer place “multicultural hair care and beauty products” in locked cases in any of its stores, the company confirmed Wednesday.
The practice, which Walmart says was only in place “in about a dozen” of its 4,700 U.S. stores, has received criticism for the implication that the customers who buy these products, largely people of color, can’t be trusted. The cases must be unlocked by a store associate, and the products are usually then taken to the front of the store for purchase.
Your daily reminder that liberals are the real racists.

Walmart has decided to forfeit not only the profits but the cost of those products. A small sacrifice to gain the goodwill of a swath of its clientele. This is appeasement on the cheap.
Trouble is the Broken Windows theory; by essentially communicating to some of their customers that stealing is acceptable, Walmart will experience much more shrinkage of inventory than some trivial hair gel or what have you.

Exactly why blacks are constantly complaining about the police. They have a belief that they should be able to commit crimes with impunity because they've been wronged in the past. The police used to keep that in check somewhat, but the crime has gotten worse since Obama entered the White House.

Freepers were hoping that some regional manager would put their foot down and not comply with the demand from their higher-ups. Them being able to frame it as a "little guy standing up against the big bad establishment" story is what really gets their Rascals going, it's how they take the moral high ground.
It's the Roy Moore school of heroics; bonus points if they get fired and are from that point on a full-blown martyr for the cause.

So I got a copy of Ben Shapiro's book, True Allegiance, and I'm going to do a thread on it eventually because hoo boy is it telling for what he (and many other smoothbrain conservatives) actually believes. It's his effort at a Clancy-esque thriller, with 5 different stories (one of which is just a few pages for a prologue) that all eventually come together. Except instead of a conspiracy or anything, it's just a slow march toward CONSEQUENCES.
1. A group of people are gruesomely killed in a terrorist attack collapsing the George Washington Bridge in NYC.
2. The youngest general in America, General Brett Hawthorne (a ripped 6'3 hot dude with a chiseled jaw who wants a forever war in Afghanistan until we beat terrorism) escapes an attack on the embassy in Kabul and stumbles upon an Iranian terrorist plot.
3. Soledad Ramirez, who's Latina so you can't call Shapiro a racist, becomes a domestic terrorist (while insisting she's totally not a terrorist) and forms a paramilitary militia after the EPA restricts water usage for her farm and she bombs them.
4. Ellen Hawthorne, the hot yet barren wife of General Hawthorne, gets wrapped up with Governor Bubba Davis of Texas when he responds to illegal immigrants and cartel violence by invading Mexico. This is portrayed as good.
5. Levon Williams, a college-educated Detroit resident who quotes Shakespeare yet returned to the ghetto to sell crack because that's what black people do I guess, arranges to frame a heroic good cop named Ricky O'Sullivan (I swear to God that's the name he picked for a cop) for murdering an unarmed child so he can start a BLM-style protest movement and take over America.
These are vaguely connected by President Prescott, a white Obama expy whose political correctness and sociopathic ambition for power lead him to respond incorrectly to all of these situations and cause chaos.
There's obviously a lot of problems with this book (such as it existing), but one of the biggest is that Shapiro's complete disconnect from reality means that he accidentally makes all the bad guys (except the Muslim terrorists, who are straight out of post-9/11 "They hate freedom and McDonalds" poo poo) completely reasonable and normal people who make good decisions that Shapiro disagrees with. The only way he can make them villainous is to have them do evil things to get their way, or have ridiculous consequences come from them.
In the case of Prescott, his big plan is to establish a work program to aid the economy (this book takes place in an unspecified post-Obama future where the EU and US have both suffered an economic collapse) that Shapiro paints as evil socialism. His evil plan is........incentivize hiring, provide fair wages and unemployment, fight for workers' rights, and use indirect taxes on corporations to prevent them from immediately fighting back against reform. His speech about the program is actually a good speech where he talks about racism and sexism in the work force and provides charts and anecdotes to fully explain how his plan works, so Shapiro needs to demonize him by interjecting every paragraph to describe how he's intentionally changing his facial expression and emotions to manipulate the audience.
The most offensive is Levon. After he gets the ball rolling on his takeover of Detroit and has his more peaceful ally assassinated, his plan to conquer the city is....use the protests as a springboard for legitimate government office in which he establishes major police reform, including emphasizing hiring a racially diverse police force who are specifically screened for racial biases and providing education for officer candidates who haven't passed high school to get GEDs. In Shapiro's world, this means you now have a police force full of young black thugs whose parents didn't raise them to respect education, who act like a gang at Levon's disposal. When Levon doesn't get DTE Energy to give free utilities to the city, he causes a blackout and the black population immediately loots everyone until the lights come back on.
At the end of the book, Prescott's incompetence leads him to be manipulated into trusting that a local imam isn't evil and allowing him on Air Force One, where he sneaks a nuke on board for a 9/11 Two: Shapiro Boogaloo. Ellen Hawthorne detonates the bomb in mid-air, destroying Washington Heights and killing Prescott while saving the rest of the city. Governor Bubba Davis continues his invasion of Mexico as the former VP sworn in as president tries to frame him for the nuking and makes it through an impeachment vote because the rest of Texas agrees with him. Because Prescott made a trade agreement with China and allowed them to continue military exercises instead of destroying them like Shapiro wants, China is now leading a coalition with Europe, Canada, Mexico, and Japan to conquer the US. Hawthorne is framed for an assassination attempt on Prescott and gets sprung from a black site by the militia. The book ends with the assumption of a sequel where World War III happens and the militia conquers the government for daring to not be crazy, I guess.

I think it's more that Brett Hawthorne (A bear of a man at 6'3", mind you) is just desperately what Ben Shapiro wanted his life to be like. The character was viciously picked on in school because he was short and scrawny (which took the form of black students baselessly accusing him of racism, of course), but then towards the end of high school he had a massive growth spurt, and all of his former bullies were now afraid of HIM!
The Chapo reading is fun because they just dunk on Shapiro the whole time, but I prefer the Behind the Bastards episodes on it, because it highlights how much True Allegiance actually gives away Shapiro's worldview, way more than any of his non-fiction books. There are no escape hatches or lovely runaround obfuscations, it establishes "Hey the Iraq war was a good idea and was totally justified because Muslims are savages and Saddam TOTALLY had WMDs you guys" within the first two chapters or so. It doesn't gently caress around.

Also, one of the best things about the book is actually the stereotypes. Either Shapiro honestly believes they're true or he was looking for a clever way to avoid being called a racist, because everyone is stereotyped. Officer Ricky O'Sullivan (who's described as being an East Coast transplant to explain why he's an Irish cop in modern Detroit), the governor of Texas being an oil executive named Bubba Davis, Soledad having sad illegal immigrants on her farm who immediately become victims of gang violence when they move to a city, etc. You half expect a Jewish guy named Moishe to show up with a bagel in New York.

Well you can still fire them, you just can't come right out and say their sexual orientation was the reason, as the defendants in this case did. Now you will just need to do a little more leg work to cover you rear end, document a few meeting where everybody agrees that particular position is too expensive or no longer provides benefit to the company and then fire them with the official reason being "we are downsizing" or "your position has been eliminated" or some other BS.
Trust me, I work in HR this stuff happens all the time when an employer wants to get rid of an employee for being obnoxious or a troublemaker but is afraid of being sued, you just need to invent a "legitimate" reason and document it.

A very bad day for strict constructionists and for people who take the separation of powers seriously.
The minority opinion is worth reading. They correctly point out that whether discrimination based on sexual orientation should be unlawful is something the legislative branch should and was debating. Bills were introduced numerous times to add it to the law.
But it’s simply not the job of the court to change the meaning of a statute.
And its’ a VERY VERY bad day for people who hoped Gorsuch would be a strict constructionist.
Sorry to seem like a defeatist but this decision makes the 2020 election a lot less important in my opinion.

These handicaps go beyond mere sexual orientation and extend to anxiety, depression, confusion, anorexia and a host of other neuroses that make the person a general liability to one's business.
Thanks, Supreme Court, nice to see that you are woke.

Kavanaugh’s dissent is somewhat baffling. His issue seems to be more with a technical issue than the substance of the case.
“Notwithstanding my concern about the Court’s transgression of the Constitution’s separation of powers, it is appropriate to acknowledge the important victory achieved today by gay and lesbian Americans. Millions of gay and lesbian Americans have worked hard for many decades to achieve equal treatment in fact and in law. They have exhibited extraordinary vision, tenacity, and grit—battling often steep odds in the legislative and judicial arenas, not to mention in their daily lives. They have advanced powerful policy arguments and can take pride in today’s result. Under the Constitution’s separation of powers, however, I believe that it was Congress’s role, not this Court’s, to amend Title VII. I therefore must respectfully dissent from the Court’s judgement”

It’s quite clear now that there will never again be a conservative majority on the Supreme Court.
The left can rely on their guys every single time. We have at most three reliable judges, and maybe just two since Kavenaugh is still somewhat of an unknown factor.
Under what scenario do we get five genuine conservative justices?
It’ll never happen.

The job offers will be pouring in.
As an old white guy it is quite difficult to land a job. But as a black lesbian they will not be able to discriminate against me.

I agree we should repeal Title VII. It is devastatingly expensive to employers and state and local agencies, which are spending a lot of time and resources on both prevention and litigation. I practice employment defense. Too many cases are shake-down operations but the ‘civil rights’ attorneys know that they will get fees if they win or settle, and defense attorneys will not get fees nor most of the costs back for their clients if the defense wins. Civil rights lawyers also know the cost of discovery and trial, so every case filed has big potential for settlement regardless of merit.

This is something we might as well get used to. We will ALWAYS lose some people on our side. In this case, 2 of 5 people.
The ONLY way to deal with this is to give Trump another 4 years and HOPE he’ll get enough of the court under conservative rule, so crap like this doesn’t keep happening.
The OTHER option to throw up our hands and proclaim that THERE’S NO DIFFERENCE between our judges and their judges...thereby giving up and handing the keys of the country to the HARD LEFT - which, sadly, many here cannot seem to comprehend, so let me help a bit:
It is either us in charge, or them in charge, ruling over us. There is no ‘third way’, such as barricading ourselves in Idaho - they also have access to Google Maps, and they WILL find you...and they will force you and your children to be re-educated. So deal with it, like an adult, please, and DO NOT run away.

Sound far fetched? It happens in high school and college track and field and wrestling athletics already.

The cause of the circus is the people. They are increasingly reprobate, as they do the things that inevitably result from their increasing rejection of God.
Supreme Court justices are merely people, reflecting the beliefs and desires of the current crop of people.
See, it’s not illegal to be a transgender or homosexual person.
In the past, a law was not needed; people naturally identified such people as afflicted; disordered; or perhaps mentally ill.
Now, the people can’t or won’t tell the difference.
So it is that chaos and destruction increase as the people believe more and more lies.

I hate to break this to you but we've been waiting since the 80s for a Republican to appoint a conservative to the court. It's not happening and we need to stop believing in the fraud.
No more waiting 4 more years for me. Now it's not only my children that are living in an America that I don't recognize but now my grandchildren will grow up in it.
I have no hope in politics anymore. Only God can save us now.
I don't care what you say about me either. I love my fellow countrymen and pray everyday that they get the scales out of their eyes. More are coming to that realization but not enough to push back and actually do something about it.
June is the anniversary of my signing up at Free Republic. I was here before we did. Alamo Girl was my favorite and I was lucky enough to see her on drudge before he got pissy and took her off.

THE TAIL THAT BURNS TWICE AS BRIGHT...
|
Let's not forget that we owe all of this to Neil Gorsuch arriving at this by the galaxy-brain route
quote:
The statute's message for our cases is equally simple and momentous: An individual's homosexuality or transgender status is not relevant to employment decisions. That's because it is impossible to discriminate against a person for being homosexual or transgender without discriminating against that individual based on sex. Consider, for example, an employer with two employees, both of whom are attracted to men. The two individuals are, to the employer's mind, materially identical in all respects, except that one is a man and the other a woman. If the employer fires the male employee for no reason other than the fact he is attracted to men, the employer discriminates against him for traits or actions it tolerates in his female colleague. Put differently, the employer intentionally singles out an employee to fire based in part on the employee's sex, and the affected employee's sex is a but-for cause of his discharge. Or take an employer who fires a transgender person who was identified as a male at birth but who now identifies as a female. If the employer retains an otherwise identical employee who was identified as female at birth, the employer intentionally penalizes a person identified as male at birth for traits or actions that it tolerates in an employee identified as female at birth. Again, the individual employee's sex plays an unmistakable and impermissible role in the discharge decision. That distinguishes these cases from countless others where Title VII has nothing to say
