I can't speak for this place, but I visited the International Wolf Center recently and these boys get REAL CLOSE to the window. They're habituated to people from a very young age, otherwise they'd be too nervous to be around too many different handlers, let alone visitors, which kind of defeats the point of an exhibit. That said, they more often get fed the full deer carcasses when there's a bunch of people around to watch them, so visitors = a deer maybe?? So you could reasonably argue that their level of interest is based on the same general premise, but there's also just plenty of general curiosity at play. Again, IDK what this place does, but I'd imagine it's in the same vein. Visit wolf centers, it's cool as heck.
