Tomino, the showrunner and lead writer for most of early Gundam, has a long, long, history of giving his characters and mechs increasingly ridiculous names. In addition to Quattro, his other shows had names like Marvel Frozen, Shot Weapon, Burn Burnings, Hotchia Motchia, Amandra Kamandra, and Quwasan Olibee.

Marvel Frozen sounds like a crossover comic that I'm honestly stunned Disney didn't push on Marvel in 2013/2014. Also can't believe you listed silly Gundam names without listing the reigning champ, Full Frontal. Anyway, Action Comics 1057: Superman has just saved the day in his old black suit.

That's because Full Frontal postdates Tomino's run as the only guy to direct Gundam (and the other robot anime Sunrise put in the timeslot between Gundams). He left his legacy on the series, though, with successive directors picking up names like that, Chibodee Crocket, Bring Stabity, Biscuit Griffon, and Chuatury Panlunch

"Quattro Bajeena" is also the fourth name he's gone by in his life (after Caval Deikun, Edouard Mass, and Char Aznable), so it's partly a reference to that, and also he's running out of ideas
