There's also minor female characters who are unlikable - the mayor's aide is pretty much the Walter Peck equivalent in this movie, she deliberately fucks over the Ghostbusters as part of her job. They actually toned down some of the male characters' shittiness, there were lines in the TV ad spots which didn't make it into the final cut of the film. Also Dana's equivalent character is pretty much merged with the Jeanine equivalent and there's no real equivalent for Louis Tully so most of the minor characters are antagonists. Edit: if people wanted to argue that every male character in the movie is awful then I guess they could push that angle if they wanted to see the film that way Snowglobe of Doom fucked around with this message at 21:48 on Jul 14, 2016 |

I'm a big fan of Kristen Wiig but every piece of Ghostbusters media I've seen her in she's got a very strong "I really don't want to be here" look on her face and it's the main thing holding me back from this movie. I know her character is supposed to be like that but they can't even get her to smile for the promotional stuff and I'm not just talking about the sick kid stuff, where it's at least a little funny.
