The game just pushes you towards him since he's near by, enemy levels are appropriate, and something else that isn't too spoilery on its own, but it kind of is hard to explain without trying to explain it without spoiling something in giving examples to articulate it. *Only one person is missable, but if you miss them, you've already hosed up.

I vote for Wendy, being the last character you get in WoB she never gets much party time. Once you get the big players back you know they're going to be in the party a lot.

Somebody said they forgot who a character is, so here is a reminder: - Bowser, aka Shadow, is a mysterious badass ninja who can throw weapons and special items at enemies. We have no idea where he might be exactly. - Wendy, aka Relm, is a cute adolescent girl with lethal artistic talent and high magic stats. We don't have a clear location on her either. -Jack, aka Cyan, is a stuck-up samurai with powerful sword and physical attacks. We have a good lead on his location- the letter we found last update matched his word usage and handwriting and the pigeon who carried our reply flew to a certain city. -Terra, whose default name we did not change, is a half-Esper half-human super magic-user whom we last saw learning about love while watching over several orphaned children in Mobilz. I repeat my vote that we go for Terra first.
