My name is Mud
Shrek 2 follows your usual sequel formula - less of the "charming story" than the first, but hoooo boy does it make up for it with gimmicks and humor. And motherfucking Puss In Boots steals the show. I don't think I've 'd at a movie this hard for at least a couple years, there were two scenes where I literally had tears in my eyes.

Props to the PDI guys for stunning animation work.

The movie was rife with "adult level" stuff going on in the background - the stuff that makes you laugh and probably flies right over your kids' heads. I already feel the need to see it again, because there were so many funny pop culture references, both gentle nods to indirectly related movies like Beverly Hills Cop, and flat out mocking of the usual suspects like Hollywood and Starbucks.

Overall a rollicking good time, highly recommended viewing. 5.0 rating from me, thanks for a fun 90 minutes.
