i believe she said on the air of the one radio shows she has appeared on recently that she was chicagolady on freerepublic so if you're looking for a public admittance that's as close as you'll get

The posts are good, but this is important.

I can post all sorts of insane poo poo and claim to be Mitt Romney, but it won't make it so. I realize it's not entirely a fair comparison and these posts are a lot more credible than "I, MITT ROMNEY, PAID HOOKERS IN THE PHILLIPINES TO TAKE A poo poo ON MY FACE," just saying if at all possible, get audio or text reproduction of her quote on the radio, because that removes a lot of the risk of running the story

Not usually, because media outlets don't want to tie themselves to someone else's original reporting.

After contacting the sources, the best bet is to find ways to bring the material up again and again. What I'd do: free blogspot or wordpress account, individual entry for each post. Don't waste time on commentary. Just one screengrab and link per post. Tag each one by which group she's insulting or what crazy poo poo she's talking about.

Make the final post (the first one visitors will see) include links to each tag, explain the context, etc.

e.g. how crazy is this lady? see what she has to say about :
hispanics
gays and lesbians
the poor
president obama

etc

On its own, it provides something to get the net to link to and talk about. Put it up on Kos, crooksandliars, etc. But then re-send the link to the media outlets to work as jerry-rigged database to show them "hey, we've just made it a lot easier to do your job you lazy fucks"

As someone who works for a "citizen journalism" outlet, let me tell you it pretty much stops at "a cool idea."

Don't get me wrong - once in a while something good comes up that shines the light of public scrutiny where it's needed, offers unusual insight, etc etc.

But mostly it's a bunch of angry old curmudgeons yelling about Democrats or a bunch of snarky 30somethings trading boring jokes about Republicans.

if this is goldmined i would like to remind everyone that although i did start the thread and dig up some initial quotes, i by no means did the most work to get this out there

more falafel please wrote that script to extract all her individual quotes
a ton of people dug up quotes in the beginning - including g. hosafat, bible patriot, mumbo, and brown moses (i'm sorry i'm leaving a ton of people out i'm about to get started on irl stuff right now and i'm just scanning looking for posters with multiple posts on the pages where the quotemining started, i will credit as many people as i can later)
tars tarkas did a wingnut web on her
POTUShead started the blog, which was arguably the biggest attention-getter with its easily accessible and neatly organized information
happylisk and others sent a shitton of emails to local media, this would have received no attention had those emails not been sent most likely

i will try to credit everybody i can when i get time to go through the thread but basically even though this didn't receive as much attention as it should have in the media (imo), it did get a significant enough response from the local GOP and those who endorsed her and it was not so much a result of my posting this as it was the collective work of all those posting itt
