No youth is complete without having built sketchy boxes and ramps, I remember using plastic piping with wax on it just to see if I'd get pitched or if it'd grind. Fortunately I had tensors so when I noseground it I went about half a foot before getting pitched instead of just getting thrown. I miss being a teenager sometimes, now I have to go skate though so win!

you're learning one of the most important things you need to know when skating, if that's the case: falling down repeatedly and ideally, not getting hurt.
