Come one, come all! Show us why your desktop is the best desktop. Android is awesome because we have complete control over the screens we see everytime we turn on our phone. There are infinate possibilities out there so let's explore them. GROUND RULES
How to take a screen shot Rooted: Get yourself a screen shot app from the Market. I personally use ShootMe. Please be aware that apps that take screen shots can't immediately inject images into the gallery so you might need to refresh your media. If this happens you can simply reboot your device or use a media refresher app like Media Rescan. Stock: You'll need a good ADB compatible driver that works with the Andoird SDK. Once you install the SDK there is an application called DDMS within the tools directory. Once launched, select your device on the left then open the Device menu and click Screen Capture. I'll leave SDK driver discussion to the device threads unless someone wants to help a brother out but I don't want this turning into a tech support thread. Minimal Matte Metamorph Theme, KaosFroyo Eris (CM6) Digital Clock - part of the Minimal Matte theme Weather and News - the theme makes the bg transparent Smooth Calendar Power Controls Launcher Pro background is from http://launcherpro.droidicon.com/ and I also have the keyboard from this thread. I applied the black keyboard zip before the metamorph theme. The background is one of many that I found from this thread under android textures. CM6 UI options allows you to turn off the notification bar clock. Click here for the full 640x480 image. The XDA forums have a lot of themes and most either use Metamorph or a flashable zip.

I'm using the 3.2 Fresh ROM, the Revolution Theme, and ADW Launcher (the third screen shot is with the dockbar showing). Widgets are digital clock, snowstorm weather, calwidget, and switch pro. Icons modified with FileExplorer using The Droid Collection from digitalstylewars.com (maker of the Revolution Theme), and I'm also using his modified battery indicator. It was pretty popular when I first displayed it in whichever android thread a couple of months ago, so here is my transparent theme again. Row 1 Beautiful Smaller Home Weather with the LTTRS clock and weather skin Row 2 BattStatt Medium and SwitchPro Widget Row 3 & 4 Pure Calendar (Agenda) widget with the Transparent skin. The LauncherPro icons I'm using are TallMin by Lekky edit: Oh, and I have the Smooth Sense icons in the notification bar, with the battery replaced by one I made in the Sense Theme Kitchen. It doesn't work with AOSP roms, so when I switch back to CM6 or OD I'll add in what I've got on there or whatever. FAG fucked around with this message at 16:56 on Sep 20, 2010 |

Be careful though I just tried the Black Keyboard zip flash then metamorph on the latest build of KaosFroyo and it made my phone go into a reboot loop. Themes might be finicky with certain roms so have your rom zip on hand if it bugs out and you don't know what to do.

HTC EVO 4G running Fresh 3.2.0.0 with battery percentage modification for deodexed ROMs. I shamelessly stole my wallpaper from Maker Of Shoes. I'm using Launcher Pro Plus with three screens. I change my setup every so often, but here's what I have right now. Main screen with Beautiful Widgets and CalWidget Launcher Pro Plus Bookmarks widget MixZing widget The three docks are not tied to any screen, I just used each with a different screen to show them all. The third screen shot shows Folder FolderOrganizer labels in the dock which opens folders. And here's my QuickDesk screen for good measure with some random shortcuts and two Extended Controls widgets. letsgoflyers81 fucked around with this message at 19:58 on Sep 20, 2010 |

Mine be simple but kinda pretty. Dock and icons: http://www.launcherpro.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2569 I'm wanting a lighter wallpaper that's similarly minimalistic. I'm probably going to need to create one myself--probably cannibalizing some of my older wallpapers. EDIT: It is pretty straightforward, but I guess I should give more information: Launcher Pro Plus (the other screens have way too much poo poo I'd need to redact) First row: Snowstorm Widget 4x1 Second Row: Digital clock (large) Third: SwitchPro Fourth: Battstatt I really wish there were a sort of "themes" manager for Launcher Pro. Because I'd change my theme daily if that were the case. Prowler fucked around with this message at 20:41 on Sep 20, 2010 |

SuperCircle Battery Mod installed via Defrost Setup App Bookmarks & Agenda/Calendar widget are LauncherPro Plus EDIT: In regards to having to use MediaScanner or rebooting the device. It's possible to simple go to Settings > SD Card & Phone Storage and Unmount then Mount the SD Card to refresh aswell - faster and less hassle than a full reboot at least. It's still very much a WIP, but I wanted to show off my progress with Desktop Visualizer: If there's interest, I can post the psd files. I had to guess the dimensions for my phone (Droid X) and still wound up with some slight gaps, but the rounded edges make it less pronounced. Beautiful Widgets binary clock.
