I'm in The Last Story I've finally reached the (apparent) Final Boss the traitor. After a very long and drawn-out fight, using Mirania's Revive Spirit Skill more than half-a-dozen times just to keep me hanging on by my fingernails, I finally put it down... only for the fight's THIRD stage to begin. ... I just had nothing left in the tank.

It didn't help that I didn't realize for a long time that it was possible to climb the floating blocks, which would have possibly let me jump onto the boss when it was doing it's hover-and-cast-spells stage.

I'm also level 55 (some party members are lower) and the boss is like level 60. I've never needed to go grind levels before, but I don't know how big a deal 5 levels difference makes in the game. Should I go use a Summon circles to grind a couple levels up?

Had the same problem. Final battle was long and drawn out, used Revive just as much and still lost. Then I grinded and suddenly the boss was easier, the battle was faster, and I only died once.

The difference those 5 levels make is insane. Also set attack to manual at least for the first phase because that counterattack is annoying.

I could have sworn Blue Dragon had a boss where the music would sync up so it would like the boss was doing the shouting part at the beginning of Eternity during their intro cutscene, but looking around for a few minutes it looks like it doesn't so that game can go into the garbage.

Also don't know if this says more about the game or me, but I ended up caring way too much about Toriel. Like on paper she sounds really stupid, a character literally named tutorial who literally hand holds you through the first few areas, but she ended up working out in execution.

The Story of Nier: Automata from here:

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/10/29/the-full-story-behind-nier-automata-on-ps4/

quote:

What is the story in Nier: Automata?

Earth has suddenly been invaded by beings from another planet and mechanical life forms with overwhelming power were used as weapons of war which forced mankind to flee to the moon. In order to take back the earth, a resistance force of android warriors has been created by humanity to fight these invaders.

The world that you see in Nier: Automata is one where androids and mechanized weapons clash in ferocious combat in a barren and deserted wasteland. It’s set after the original game but the story is written in a way which means you don’t have to have played the first one.

The world/universe is still linked between the two Nier games though so if you have played the original, you will no doubt recognize some of the locations and characters who may or may not be returning. The locations in particular will look different as they’re now more like ruins after the alien invasion but there will also be areas where you get the sense of a very advanced civilization.

Most of the story is still shrouded in mystery though so there’s more to look out for and discover further down the line.

The main character is called 2B.

I just remembered Taro Yoko's idea about an enemy's attack that could mess with the FPS when asked about Nier: Automata running 60FPS and the main character being an android is perfect for that. I hope they got a few more UI tricks planned.

Short FF7R interview here:

quote:

Regarding Voices…

Nomura: “Basically, it will be fully voiced. We still haven’t decided the voices of the characters that weren’t in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.”

So does that mean dating events will be fully voiced?

Kitase: “It would be impossible not to. (Laughs.) However, since it’s different from that time and social situation, we need implement the reproduction of original events carefully.”

Nomura: “Ah, the Honey Bee Inn… (Laughs.)”

Is the map open world?

Kitase: “We can’t say anything yet, but we don’t plan on fussing about whether it’s a so-called open-world or sandbox. But since Nomura is more focused on the creation of the scenery, we want to express an environment character actions affect the scenery.”

Will there be mini-games?

Kitase: “We want to put the mini-games that remain favorable among fans in as much as possible.”

Nomura: “There were a lot of things from big to small, but we need to consider a bit whether it’s necessary to create them all with the latest technology.”

Kitase: “The development staff is also thinking about what to do with the mini-games.”

How’s production going?

Kitase: “We’re at the stage where we can say we’re finally getting started. We have ideas regarding battles, too, but it will take time to drop them into the actual game.”

Final Fantasy VII‘s 20th anniversary is in 2017. Can we expect anything for its original release date on January 31?

Kitase: “I can’t say anything at the moment. (Laughs.)”

Nomura: “Personally, I’m waiting for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 and World of Final Fantasy in 2016. I think when they’re completed, I’ll be able to release new information.”

Was Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 a joke??

If you are talking about the name, Nomura actually explained this one:

quote:

Nomura said that because the games in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix are set before Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, that game is actually "2.6" in the overall franchise.

"Since Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover/Kingdom Hearts Unchained is supposed to be the first game in the mainline series, that is being represented as '0' in the collection," NovaCrystallis reports. "And lastly, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is '0.1' and that then leads into Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep."

Thus, the 2.8 number comes from 2.6 plus 0 plus 0.2.

Got it?

While, ideally the translation is amusing in itself, regardless of whether you get the reference. The "dragon for I love you" thing makes sense in context, and seems to fit the character's personality.

If the other translation that usually gets shown alongside "dragon for I love you" is accurate it also gets the same idea across. A kid saying I love you in a goofy way to their parent gives the feeling that they are happy to be with them.
