I like this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9zy1u77CdoTHNDRTHF posted:The Clams Casino radio station on Spotify has been opening my mind alot in terms of chillwave and spacey poo poo like that. This is a quality post right here. Shlohmo and Gold Panda are my favorites and I'd really add Onra to the list as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppQPw-iUgkU I want somebody to mix Danny, Ghost and Action Bronson over these beats. (For a saucy example, jump to ~1 minute).

That Bronson + Wiz joint is a nice, a lot better than I thought it was going to be. And the cover for Saaab Stories is hilarious. This is great. I think Hot Soup and It's a Art are relatively slept on. They aren't phenomenal albums but they have some of my favorite individual tracks.

I don't think there's a dog on SAAAB Stories (granted it's half a dozen tracks). A few really good ones and "No Time" is getting lot's of play time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwVpNsdQ02c Joint bigger than mutumbo finger

John Brown posted:Lupe still owns lyrically. But I'd replace Gunplay with Royce, and Danny with Gibbs. Royce may not know how to write a hit song, but he's got arguably the best bars in a verse. Also, even after Bible on the Dash and all the other poo poo I've heard I'm still not feeling Gunplay. Where is Royce's prime poo poo? My ipod always has Street Hop and Success is Certain on it, period. However I've been underwhelmed by pretty much everything else, with the exception of Bad Meets Evil (which owns, ignore the haters). Bar Exam 2 was especially a let down after I read the hype in this thread. ALARM CLOCK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oFOODIxxes Everything by Killa Kyleon bumps like a mother fucker. Quit sleepin.

John Brown posted:Completely missed this! To add to what you've already mentioned I'd say Bar Exam 3 and Death Is Certain. But that's also a problem - he can't write hits or good albums but his verses are loving incredible. This would be the part in which I'd post "ER" for any doubters but my PC is out for the count. Robert Analog posted:drat I really like Bar Exam 2, did you listen to 3? Maybe 2 was overhyped to you but I think it's some of the best stuff Royce has ever done. I'll get BE 3 and Death Is Certain. Even the RD59 I found underwhelming is still better than like 90% of the stuff I get exposed to, so it should be nice to listen through those albums. And Royce is amazing, I'm just talking hypothetical space jam rules. Berzerk is ok. Not nearly as terrible as y'all making it out to be. The beat is too busy and the last half of the track does stupid poo poo, but it's an ok track and the rap itself is fine. P.S.
