Your idea is lame, and completely neglects the number #1 issue faced by every business, creating and maintaining a userbase by fulfilling a need that isn't met through other services. It's also hilarious that you spent spent 14 months working on it only to get hacked within a month of starting while bragging like you're some big shot in the web development profession. You are actually more ridiculous than bitcoins themselves which is why the thread is suddenly focusing on you. Congrats.

The bigger the site gets, the larger the payouts will be. I am not here to scam anyone, I am not here to cause trouble, and I just want a better future for everyone. It seems bitcoin hit $13.10 earlier tonight and is now sitting around $13.37. The decline post-hack seems to be pretty steady, around $0.50 a week. Also, I like the idea that Vegetta probably found out about this thread because he saw a hundred-fold increase in his forum traffic and found in his referrer logs that it all came from here.

Can someone educate me what possible advantage I had, if I was a cam-girl, to sign up to a dubious Bitcoin site considering that - less userbase - much more transaction cost - I have to discount my earnings a ton based on risk of holding bitcoins (which I can't really use and can't withdraw quickly enough) I mean there has to be some advantage that is so big that it would even out these costs of opportunity, since at least on a calculative basis I would literally be losing money on this Bitcoin site. So what is it?

He's in for a nasty shock. Here in the UK it's legal to have sex when you're 16, but not to film yourself doing it until you're 18. There have been the odd few cases of kids putting pictures of their 16-year-old boy/girlfriends on the internet getting done for distributing child porn.

chaosbreather posted:Oh it gets better than that. Because of that action people then won't use nuclear power stations that aren't certified by another company who investigates how power stations dispose of waste. People could pay that company money to shut down waste disposal companies, so they outsource mercenaries to help enforce public safety. But if some people refuse to pay for safe waste disposal, that means everyone suffers, so the majority who want safety and not tumours pay mercenaries to shake down the minority to force them to pay for the good of the public. For a practical example of this, read http://web.archive.org/web/20090321120934/http://overruledblog.com/2009/03/14/libertarians-are-dumb-or-why-we-eat-heinz-ketchup/. Summary: Heinz started as a company that, in contrast with their competitors, didn't use rotten tomatoes in their ketchup. People still bought from their competitors. So Heinz started lobbying for the creation of a regulatory agency that would later become FDA. This agency then put Heinz' competitors out of business.

To a libretarian, that just disproves your point. Company can't compete in a free market, so they manipulate the government to regulate their competition out of business. People should be able to buy rotten food if they prefer. And if they didn't know it's rotten, that's their own fault for not taking the time to travel all over the country and performing surprise inspections of every link of the supply chain for every product they buy

It still blows me away how stupid Vegetta is about Kang not being interested in his "business." She offered some advice and he offers her a job and then immediately gets on her case about her "lack of credentials." It's as though I showed up to, say, the Boston Celtics office to do some editing for their programs or whatever. Then, the guys in the office say "hey, do you want to be a Boston Celtic?" While I'm flabbergasted, they start ripping on me for being 5'6" and out of shape. Dude, she just doesn't want to be on your team. You are the LA Clippers of small business. Also, I'm not into any sort of fetish scene, but even I know that dominatrix-type women aren't actually about putting down their man or men in general. It seems like the guy and the gal both do it for fun and in good humor, which is two things Vegetta knows nothing about. Well, besides sex.

So are various other things that would inevitably drive this thread waaay off topic. And this is all assuming that the externalities eventually do affect everyone, which is a bad assumption. Factory farms have extreme regional impacts and much smaller national impacts. It's still a rational decision for people in the city to buy cheap meat that fucks over communities near the CAFO.
