It was in the original "Create Paranormal Images" thread that spawned Slenderman, not Marble Hornets that I can think of. People wrote about him eviscerating victims and hanging their organs around the forest in plastic bags or something like that. Although some of the other series like EverymanHYBRID have run with that imagery and encountered bags of gore in the woods.

Victims are supposedly found with their bodies eviscerated and organs stuffed into plastic bags. Sometimes they're tied to trees, sometimes they're shoved haphazardly back into the bodies. Its general serial killer creepy, but doesn't really make all that much sense when you think of the Slenderman as some otherworldly being and not just some psychopathic serial killer. Though I suppose now that my mind is wandering, what with all this cult business and the people who clearly follow S&M as some sort of god, it might just be one of their sick rituals. "Oh hey a dead body, our GOD HAS CHOSEN SOMEONE. Now we must perform the ritual. SOMEONE GO GRAB THE SANDWICH BAGGIES!"

If that was the case, they'd have been identified as a commune by now by someone higher up in the government than the cult's planted members. Unless the people up top are just watching to see what happens. Obama gets elected. And a cult starts operating with impunity, the cops do nothing, FBI is useless. Coincidence?

Maybe they just live somewhere that cults and communes are not illegal? Like america. Quite honestly, if suddenly there was a time warp and everything went back to before the HABIT trials BS, and they actually updated again, I'd be totally kosher with pretending that didn't happen. Otherwise its a giant clusterfuck. At first it was awesome, but then they delved into the requirement of having to look at Twitter, FormSpring, all sorts of stupid things. I get that an ARG needs to have multiple avenues of accessibility, but whats wrong with just every week or so having an update of 'This poo poo happened and we're telling you here because you pricks can't be arsed'.

They're definitely finishing up. One of the last videos had something like "The Final Act" as a title in it. I think they're trying to simplify things and give the story some sort of focus with Evan killing everyone off. Although I admit I stopped following everything but the videos so there may be a ton more that I'm just not seeing.

The new EMH video prompted me to finally catch up with the series (I was languishing somewhere around the Jessie video) and... huh. Huh. It feels like everyone involved in EMH is making a completely different series. Vince is still doing a decently written and acted youtube horror series with personable protagonists (I enjoyed the one where he walked around all their interconnected houses). Evan is making some kind of slasher B-movie. Jeff is maybe making an art film. And the guy who plays Corenthal thinks he's in CSI Miami. Meanwhile in Marble Hornets news, I'm late to the party here but the most recent entry was fantastic. It's nice to see Alex in the flesh again, and it feels like the plot progressed and everything. Plus, his birthday is coming up on April 4th, so if TTA is going to make an(other) attempt on Alex's life or something (as per the threat in Decay) we have that to look forward to

Just get the exact cast of Chronicle and cast them in this and I will be happy. Don't keep the actors from this because damnit they really can't act. It's fine for a youtube series but in a real movie it would be terrible.

This would be more terrifying (on a 50foot screen) to the uninitiated than anything Hollywood could cook up. e: What I'm saying is the cast of Marble Hornets looks goofy.
