Maybe its too early to tell, but this entry , while entertaining, really didnt take us anywhere. We're just back to where Jay was before he found Tim at the beginning of the season. It would've made more sense if the two of them reluctantly decided to team up together to find Alex/Slendy to try and end all of it for good. Now it feels like we're going to have another 2 months of tweets and entries setting up the next totally separate lead, whatever it may be.

Didn't they just watch ski-masky put the tape there when they were following him in the last entry? How could the tape have been laying in that spot for a long time?

Skimasky is the human reincarnation of Slenderman using a clone of Jay's body. Alex is trying to stop the reincarnation process because Slenderman aims to kill him once he is again made human, but in order to stop the process, Alex needs to find and kill Jay. The last scene of the last entry will have the now human Slenderman (as Jay) walking out of a Men's Warehouse with a new suit. He adjusts his tie, puts on some sunglasses and walks off into the distance.
