A question, what's a good starting point for Dark Ambient?

Thanks for the recommendations - I'm digging them, and I can't believe I never heard Global Communication.

I meant to mention that I'm familiar with The Orb, Spacetime Continuum and FSOL. They made for some very weird nights between 1993 and 1995.

I took a long break from that whole genre for several years, and was thrilled to discover Shpongle a couple years ago. I've recently also gotten into Ott and other artists off Twisted.

You might already know it, but another really enjoyable album from that early 90s period is Every Man and Woman is a Star by Ultramarine. It's a little more active than The Orb's Adventures or Chill Out, but still has that open light sound to it.

I've also been listening Ov Biospheres and Sacred Grooves by Psychick Warriors ov Gaia lately, which hasn't really aged as gracefully but is still a pretty neat chill out listen from the same era.

edit: Speaking of PWOG, Coil's remix of Kraak owns eternally

Hey everybody. I just wanted to put in a few recommendations for stuff in the industrial orbit that might be pleasant for people in the thread.

This whole Christoph Heemann album is amazing. This is the only track on youtube I could find but the whole thing is great, you should listen to it.

This Cyclobe album came out a couple years back and rules. Listen also to the track Replaced by His Constellation off The Visitors. I wish it was on youtube too!!

This is maybe not ambient but I admire it so much. Every song on the album is incredible
