 McFarlane's been claiming one is in the works with an Oscar winning actor attached to play Spawn who is calling him every week asking for updates on the script. Some sites have been claiming its Jamie Foxx based entirely on him being the first Black Oscar winner they can think of despite his career being in too good a place to lower himself to that.

Because they want to use white guy Hal Jordan as Green Lantern instead of John Stewart; the Green Lantern who was used in the cartoons and other than him there's no other non-white characters in the "Big 7" Justice League.
