Clive Owen plays Dwight McCarthy in the first Sin City. Josh Brolin is listed as Dwight McCarthy in this sequel, but Clive Owen is in the movie also, is this right? In the comics Dwight is physically destroyed and shot up by Manute, goes through some major surgery and returns as the same guy but with his hair grown out, did they decide this warranted two different actors?

That doesn't happen till the very end of the book, so if anything, expect an Owen cameo at most.

In all of the movies but Origins (I don't think it used this technique anyway) he actually usually has either metal or rubber physical claws, and the CG is used to make it look like they're coming out of his hand and not strapped onto it. It seems like they're back to using that, or they got a way better CG house than did Origins.

They said they were doing Astonishing X-Men last and then nothing ever came from it. They did do Planet Hulk, setting up a World War Hulk thing, before that but then also nothing. Hopefully they just gave up because this is the one area where DC was just loving trouncing them. Not a single one of those Marvel DTV's was worth watching.

I think the series did a good job showing how effectively all of the characters were significantly flawed. They all have their issues, but that makes them more relatable and human.

Part of the issue with Bane's character is that in order to do that final reveal at the end, a lot of his motivations get overlooked.

What motivations? Going from the end of the film every single thing he did was an act that he himself probably didn't even come up with. He was Talia's lapdog through and through, and it really cheapens the character as a whole, especially on a second watch, knowing that he's not really even the one in charge here. Nolan made a movie where a henchman is the only on screen antagonist for 95% of the film.

Kick rear end 2 looks like it's sticking WAY too close to the comics. I was hoping they'd drop poo poo like "The Motherfucker" along with the gang rape of Kick rear end' girlfriend and his father's death. But looking at the trailer there are a bunch of scenes from those sequences in there, so unless they're changing the specifics while keeping the framework it looks like we might finally get a Mark Millar rear end Mark Millar movie. And this is not a good thing as without an editor he writes like a hyperactive 14 year old trying to be "edgy."

They're both fine interpretations of the character, but they're very, very different from one another. And Momoa was fantastic in Game of Thrones. I still really like that Catwoman porn costume, and if you just put some loving pants on her that Wonder Woman one is streets ahead of the one they had in the actual Wonder Woman pilot from a year back.

Wonder Woman's outfit is loving terrible. Black Canary's fishnets outfit is also loving terrible. If you're seriously arguing "well no comic book outfit is realistic, even the ones the guys wear!" to this then I have to wonder if you know the difference between men and women in this context. Men with giant bulging muscles in outfits showing them off is a male fantasy. Women in tiny little outfits with their tits and rear end hanging out is...also a male fantasy. There is absolutely no reason for an Amazon warrior to be wearing a bondage top and booty shorts. It doesn't HAVE to be pants, but maybe make it so she's not dressed up like a stripper on the fourth of July. This is a design I've always enjoyed for her:

Wonder Woman's titty/bikini costume is stupid as poo poo because there's no reason an Amazon would be wearing it. It's sexy just for the sake of being sexy. If you don't get that I don't know what to say to you.

Wolverine is actually quite fast and strong, due to the fact that he does have that skeleton made of metal, and his muscles grow at a much higher rate than a normal humans due to his healing factor. He's pretty much a track star strong man due to carrying all that extra weight.

We've seen him pre-scar though, when he was college buddies with Reed. He was generic handsome white guy there, but yeah, it's not like they don't have black dudes in Europe, and he could have easily just taken over Latveria cause he's a dick.

The only time race matters is when it is important to the characters personality, background, etc. I wouldn't want a white guy playing Black Panther, for instance. But I also wouldn't want a black guy playing Baron Zemo. Johnny Storm's race, and Sue Storm's for that matter, doesn't matter to those characters at all. For Thor it was already established that not all the Asgardians were white, what with Hogun and all, and it's not like Heimdall NEEDED to be a certain race for any reason other than "he was like this in the comics" so that controversy was stupid. Kingpin is the same deal. If the person chosen is a good actor and a good fit for the role, then that's all that matters. And Michael B. Jordan already played the best on screen version of Johnny Storm ever in Chronicle, so anyone who can't get behind that casting is a dummy.

What has me really interested is that in the original story Cap liberates Bucky via the Cosmic Cube. Avengers has made that kind-of impossible unless they want to be contrived and either involve Asgard or pull some "other cube" out of their asses. So how's the mind-liberation going to go down?
