The game looks great, hope the writing of the actual game is better than 'find a flag for some guy, casually browbeat him into getting eaten by Cthulu' though.

The dialogue seemed to suggest the Maw doesn't always kill, based on the video I'm betting you can grow a character (yourself or others) into one the Maw judges and finds worthy of living. Or you can just send an NPC to their doom to sate it.
