Also comes to mind that a LOT about the OSI and its flagship (like the Nozzle) makes sense as basically a clearing house of random mad science poo poo they commissioned, bought or otherwise acquired.

I'm pretty sure they just used a machine to convince Dr. Venture there was an Illuminati. They never appear outside that.
