Idea for a new thread rule (a serious idea this time, not just said tongue-in-cheek) for cases like this (where we're at a choice and it seems like one (or both) might be a quick death): if the voted-on choice does lead to a quick death, no going back to that same choice and just picking the other outcome.

If the picking either Ally or Betray gets picked it leads to a dead end (be it a death, a to be continued, or even an actual ending), we'd have to go back onto one of the other branches we've already been to - not just redoing the same AB game right away. I know it seems like an extra rule just for the sake of a rule, but it seems like a lot of the people in the thread are making their decision pretty flippantly.

I know that we know we can go back to the decision if we end up making the wrong choice, and I even know that the ability to go back to different points is enough of an in-game mechanic that it has its own interface button, but I think that people have gotten into the mindset of "I guess it doesn't really matter" a bit too heavily. After all, Sigma has no clue that it's possible to go back to a different point, so if we're making choices IC as him we shouldn't have the power to jump around in mind.

The choices like this need more weight, they need to feel more pressing and final.

So this LP finally convinced me to buy the game and I'm wondering, does the game railroad you into finishing up all the other endings before getting to the 'good' end? Or is it possible to stumble onto the true ending before completing the other paths? I don't want to google it for fear of spoilers

It's crazy to think we're supposedly near the end when we still know so little. I don't know if this game has an equivalent to the Safe Ending where you get 60% of the whole picture before the true ending fills in all the gaps or if everything is just going to be backloaded onto whatever final path we end up on.

I disliked ET's 'wink,wink nudge,nudge' as well, and agree that someone who has already seen/knows about the plot shouldn't post 'speculation' or 'gentle hints' but he merely explained knowledge we already were told nearly three years ago to correct someones misapprehension and then defended himself against PMush calling spoilers.
