The thing that bothers me so far is that 144k people is not "small town." Which is what they're treating this as.

I'm kind of surprised that they left the Horseman still around by the end of the episode and not at least temporarily defeated. It seems like something that Fox would want to get out of the way fairly quickly because of the effect work involved.

Ape Agitator posted:This show moved at breakneck pace. I felt like I had watched a full season in the first episode where they just breezed past thing after thing. Its probably a legacy from Fringe since Kurtzman and Orci learned that genre shows just can't sustain a slow burn. You have to actually give the audience a reason to stick around.

Abbey calls him "Captain" and he acts like he's not from around there but it seemed really unclear what his position actually was.
|
# ¿ Sep 18, 2013 04:09 |

Abbey was also somehow a Lieutenant in the Sheriffs Department. In most cities the sheriff's department just handles court related things since there is already a city police department. Again its a weird issue where the show just doesn't seem very confident in what size Sleepy Hollow is supposed to be.

Here is the relevant section of Revelation in regards to the four horsemen. quote:[2] And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

...! posted:That can't be Satan since Satan is the Angel of Light and is described as being quite beautiful, which is part of why he's so dangerous. Surely Sleepy Hollow wouldn't get that wrong! Yeah, but this is a pretty effects heavy show. Its not every scene but enough times per episode that they don't even have an episode that's going to air in three weeks done.

Uh, excuse me Ichabod, that's William Blake's The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed in Sun, not Moloch. Although it is a beast of Revelation.quote:And behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth.
