Well, this came out of nowhere: Jane Jensen just announced that her studio's remaking Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers for iPad, Android, Mac and PC with Activision's help. This is the first image:

It'll be out next year for the 20th anniversary. There's an interview here.

12. The jillion dollar question, right here. Everyone crapped their pants and cried when he said Curse is canon on Twitter, but he'd already strongly implied it here years ago, along with a mention of it following the new game, rather than precising it. As for whether he keeps to that and whether we'll still see what happened immediately after MI2 (even if only in flashbacks): if we don't, the body of the unpaid intern who wrote this Devolver Digital tweet will probably be found floating in the nearest body of water.
According to another interview with The Verge, the game does indeed pick up where MI2 ended, and it tries to squeeze into the canon of the post-MI2 games where possible (although they'll occasionally ignore a few bits of pre-existing canon in the name of better storytelling, because hey, all those other games probably slightly contradict each other too, it's fine).

Jordan Mechner's been throwing fun production photos from The Last Express online lately, to mark the game's 25th anniversary.

He also threw up two goodies: The 119 page "linear screenplay" written in the '90s for publisher pitching and development guiding-light purposes, and a 2010-era unproduced screenplay for a film adaption that Paul Verhoeven was attached to.
