Let's talk about the JBL & Cole Show! What. The JBL & Cole Show (with Renee Young) is a WWE Youtube web series where JBL, Michael Cole, Renee Young, and a cavalcade of wrestlers dick around doing weird poo poo backstage. It's sort of meta, really goofy, very funny, and most importantly, lets the talent display a hell of a lot more personality than they get to on TV. I think the original concept was that they go around and visit stuff in whatever the Smackdown city of the week is but it deviates. Wade Barrett's "Bad News" gimmick was born on this show when he couldn't get in the country due to visa issues and had to record poo poo on his phone or whatever. Unlike what you see on TV, it was actually funny there and they failed to translate it completely to Raw! Shocker. It's a fun show and you get to watch wrestlers be funny with their own personalities, so give it a watch! Lately it's gotten a bit more complex with running storylines. Okay so what's going on, in it. The most recent storyline involves Cody Rhodes getting a bowling trophy boot stolen or something. Not only did the show give us the first appearance of Bad News Barrett, but it also gave us the first appearance of Good News Barrett. It's rare to see a man look as happy as CM Punk is in that clip.

Honestly, if you want to start with the JBL&Cole Show, you need to start from the first episode, if only to get a feeling of how the show has improved since it started, because at the start the show was pretty mediocre. But it developed so drat well over time, giving us BNB, the Dazzler, the SuperStar Search, Clem Layfield, and most of all, a Michael Cole who can be entertaining when he doesn't have Vince shouting in his ear all the time, and a JBL who is entertaining when he says stuff other than "Conspiracy wah wah".

Cody Rhodes is hilarious, and not just by wrestling standards. I wouldn't mind showing non-fans this web series, just because the dashing one is so goddamn good.

I somehow get the feeling Renee is the reason Barrett doesn't have the boot, her stalking appearance after the Tensai segment made her very suspicious. Also, I completely used it at Cody using El Torito as a walking signpost.
