James Iha is a totally underrated guitarist and Jimmy Chamberlin is one of the best drummers that I've ever heard. Billy Corgan is a douche now, but I will admit that you can't gently caress with Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie. I can take or leave the rest of their stuff.

Or rather, most classically trained musicians can play almost any instrument at the level he can; which is just above lovely.. You can sound mediocre and a lot of different instruments if you are knowledgeable about theory and spend a little while learning basic technique.
