How did he fit his hair under that wig?
Much like they did for the "Smells Like Nirvana" and "The Saga Begins" videos, they braid it very tightly and snake it down his back under his costume.

I was really hoping for a video for "My Own Eyes", just because the whole song is a series of funny images that would have lent themselves really well to a video. I guess it would have been the easy way to go, though, and they're just as funny left to the imagination.

Pretty sure it's a play on those RSA Animate videos. Probably would've been funnier if he'd done it as a TED talk.
As someone who designs for e-learning professionally, I can tell you that there are a ton of people in the field who think that whiteboard-graphics aesthetic is just the greatest thing ever.

Can I interrupt the circlejerk about who heard of Pharrell first to point out that there is now a porn parody of UHF??

“Weird Al” Yankovic inspires UHF porn parody, has officially “made it”

“Weird Al” Yankovic may have landed his first No. 1 album amid one of the biggest outpourings of press and public goodwill he’s ever seen, but—as any musical artist of the last 30 years will tell you—you haven’t truly “made it” until you’re the subject of a Weird Al porn parody. Fortunately, Weird Al can now officially consider himself a success, with the debut of the “Weird & Naked UHF” photo collection over at WoodRocket.com, who is basically the “Weird Al” of porn spoofs. And it is now quite literally the “Weird Al” of porn spoofs, thanks to this very NSFW gallery based on the movie UHF and ruining the movie UHF.

Hardware Store is not only one of the best songs on Poodle Hat, it's one of Weird Al's best songs period.
He sometimes refers to that song as having been rewritten, originally intended as a style parody that didn't work. Has he ever revealed what it was "supposed" to be?

I'd rather see him do something like host Saturday Night Live this season. Host + musical guest would be even more amazing.

Good Old Days, where he tortures small animals, burns down a grocery store, beats up a kindly old man, and murders his prom date.

He really ought to hook up with someone like the Earwolf Network, start his own podcast, and release his music that way. I've heard him on plenty of podcasts before and he's been consistently great, plus he used to be a DJ way back in the day.

edit: Also, the MTV Video Music Awards are tonight and rumor has it that Al is going to show up as a surprise guest at some point.
