imo, the Transformers movies directed by Michael Bay are pretty good, or probably above average at least.

They are worse than the cartoons since the cartoons are actually focused on giant robots instead of people. Transformers prime was better than all the bay movies put together, and it was pretty human centric for a transformers show.

The humans do tend to be the worst part tho.

i thought that one cinema discusso thread about how the movies are just a deconstruction of american society were neat but it didnt like make me want to watch the anymore than i already had to pain and gain is pretty good though

i saw the first one when it came out, and it was cool.there were cool cgi robots fighting.guess its lucky i never watched the cartoons because a lot of people seem to have been emotionally scarred by Michael Bay's interpretation of a toy advert

transformers was at its peak before i was born or when i was too young to give a poo poo about TV cartoons for reference, i loved watching the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles every day before i went to preschool

We need bay to make robotech. How can he mess up plane/robots blowing up 100 aliens, every 15 mins. He can cut and paste the same action scene 40 times and no robotech fan would complain.

They're a modern reimagining of an 80's toy commercial. They're not as bad as sperglord a would have you believe, but they're just as crazy and unrealistic as the 80's cartoon but in a different direction.
