The problem is I'd rather not condemn somebody as a rapist just because somebody said they were. In the same way, I'm not going to assume the accuser is lying either. I think if an accusation of rape is made, it should be taken into consideration seriously and carefully rather than a kneejerk reaction of victim blaming or condemnation of the accused.
