Tingle tingle kooloo limpah.
These are my magic words.

Don't steal them.

I Am a Hero
Hideo Suzuki, 35, formerly published, currently erotic mangaka assistant, one of the few civilian gun owners in Japan, is not the most stable guy around. He's delusional, can't speak his mind, and is the grudging type. His life isn't on the most solid of grounds, having been reduced to drawing pornography years after his own series was canceled after no more than six months. It's not all bad, I guess. He has a loving girlfriend (though she's a terrible drunk,) and he honestly handles his own mental instability pretty well. But his latest manuscript was turned down, and it doesn't look like he'll be in the limelight again for a long while.

Thankfully, that's not really something to worry about, given what happens in the next few days.

Kengo Hanazawa's I Am a Hero is a bit hard to classify without bringing in spoilers, but it's an excellent Seinen series published in Shogokukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine. It's funny, it's dramatic, it's thrilling in all the right ways. The art is fantastic, there are very few manga stereotypes written into the characters, and the atmosphere overall is wonderful. It's won numerous awards and has been nominated for even more, and it's deserved every one of 'em. It's probably my favorite Seinen series of all time.

Hideo Suzuki and his little pal.

So why does everyone pussyfoot around spoilers with this series?
If you've never heard much about I Am a Hero and have just come across this thread now, stop reading whatever bullshit you're reading now and go and read past the first Volume. It may be old hat now, but trust me, it's still not a surprise that you want to ruin for anyone. Past this OP, spoilers will be common, considering its 14th volume just got translated.

So where can I read it?
Unfortunately, I Am a Hero has not been licensed, so you're going to have to stick to fan translations. You can read it on most places, and if you want a convenient spoiler-free starting place, here you go, directly from the cover page on. Avoid discussion if you can help it until after you read chapter one.
