Let him serve the Imperium in half-death as he served himself in life.

A reason why not is we just declared the man a traitor to the empire for what he did to the family. It would at the very least look bad. I'll be honest, I just wanted to see what the reaction would be and didn't expect to get a single vote for the plan.

You unplugged from his memories, looked at Devries. He stared impassively back, still smiling faintly. You had considered removing the nerves of his face, but there was something that was .... appealing.
"What was your deal?"
He blinked. "Ah.. Plenipotentiary in this system for your Dynasty for life, three PL to my personal accounts, all my children accepted as Family."
"Very well. I accept."
He looked as startled as you'd ever seen him. "I killed your family."
"Yes."
"You know you can't trust me."
"Yes."
"Then... why are you doing this?"
"Because... I have to." and you brought your lips to his.

That's what it looks like. Bonus points if we can use him as one of those too smart and evil for their own good processors. Put him to some use on the ship.

Edit: I think we had enough votes for us to do the thing where we get a complete rip of his memories in the previous vote.

Sounds like a plan. Ill put him in the attic and we can move on.

Clone bays.... he's got one, hidden in Between. Its a slow bastard though - hes used it for himself (once) and Lord-Sire (once). The other ones he had were a package deal for the butlers, and he doesn't have access to that set up anymore.

Yes, yes, yes.

Those wanting the retcon get Fabian back, but we still have all the growth and everything that happened to satisfy those who wanted to continue. And we get to gently caress with spacetime. Everyone wins. Except the Eldar, but gently caress the Eldar. Not literally though, that's heretical.

Now I'm no expert on 40k, but I'm pretty sure we're playing right into the Eldar plans here. At the very least we've given them massive leverage over us. I wouldn't be surprised if we questioned whether this was worth it when it's all over.
