Wasn't it that one record store where Liv Tyler was friends with Renee Z and they had kooky adventures all while saying "drat the man"? And then that kid who looked like a juggalo stole some Barry Manilow CDs and they all made fun of him while gluing coins to the floor?

my university had one on campus. every saturday night there would be a dude in front selling hotdogs and chili until the wee hours of the morning to drunk students. then it closed and now its a 24hr CVS.

After the Hollywood video thread is it remember the 90s night in GBS? The tower records around Phoenix were pretty good. They always had a better selection of lesser known and hard to find stuff than the average music shop but everything was a bit more expensive as well. Great music VHS selection. Edit: they had cool instore signings as well.

I was playing crazy taxi this past weekend and I'm surprised by how much product placement was shoved in it. It was kind of funny and cheesy in how outdated it was because people said things like "take me to tower records" but drat that is an obnoxious thing for a game to do.

It is a destination in the original arcade version of Crazy Taxi. For some reason the phone version doesn't have licensed locatioms because companies don't want free advertising.
