I can have $26 in my checking account and not only not get charged but actually get paid interest. i have a credit union but even i have to pay a fee or have a minimum balance if i want to accrue interest on my checking account. sounds like you got a pretty sweet deal

Credit unions are required by law to have some sort of defined field of membership. Usually it shouldn't be too hard to find one you qualify for, but you still have to qualify somehow. I just piggyback off my military father and thus can get into some decent ones.
